11th German Film Festival opened in Moscow
MOSCOW, December 6. /Correspondent. ITAR-TASS Oleg Maganov /. 11th German Film Festival was launched in Moscow. Film Forum has become one of the central events of the Year of Russia in Germany and Germany to Russia. Within 7 days, from 5 to 11 December, in the cinema "35 mm" Russian viewers will see 31 new German film.
At the opening ceremony the Russian premiere of the film "In the sea» (WIR WOLLTEN AUFS MEER). Addressing the audience before the show, the director said that he hoped for a keen interest in the work of the Russian audience, "because Russia and Germany share a common Soviet past." "The Sea" tells the story of two best friends who dream by hook or by crook to move from East to West. Each of them will have to pay the price for that would be the dream come true.
Drama countries separated wall, still relevant in Germany. Another film that continues this theme, was the comedy "I normally super Hood» (RUSSENDISKO), based on the book of the Russian-German writer Wladimir Kaminer.
For the first years of the festival will be shown in movie format 3D - «The Conquest of the World» (DIE VERMESSUNG DER WELT) director Detlev Buck.
As part of the Film Forum retrospective will work Dominique Graf, one of the most famous German television producers, 10 and 11 December, the director will personally present four of his paintings to Russian viewers.
Like last year, the festival includes software AG DOK (documentaries), NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER (a selection of shorts) and children's movies.
German film festivals will also be held in St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk.
